Venture Technologies was a premier IT solutions and managed services provider built in partnership with Fortuna Capital that delivered Hosted Cloud Services, Collaboration Solutions, Premise Infrastructure Solutions and Business Applications Consulting Services to private and public organizations, including Fortune 500 companies, federal agencies, large public utilities, regional hospital systems and SLED customers, throughout the United States and abroad.

After first meeting in 2011, Fortuna Capital partnered with Venture Technologies' founders and senior management to craft an acquisition strategy to capitalize on the dominant IT solutions industry trends, including scaling up the value chain to provide higher-margin recurring cloud, hosted and managed services, and to take advantage of the significant industry consolidation already well underway. While Venture Technologies’ leadership were visionaries in the industry (with Venture Technologies having built its own data center in 2001), acquisition capital, M&A expertise and additional executive bandwidth were needed to execute on the strategy.

In the five years following the initial platform combination in 2014, the Fortuna Capital team worked directly with senior management of Venture Technologies and the founders of each acquired company, using dedicated resources to operate as an outsourced strategic development arm, sourcing and reviewing over 200 acquisition candidates, and successfully combining and integrating five complementary technology and cloud solutions providers under the Venture Technologies umbrella with two major investment rounds.

This strategic growth enabled Venture Technologies to capitalize on economies of scale and cross-selling opportunities to rapidly expand from servicing smaller, regional clients to providing comprehensive IT and managed services solutions to national and international organizations with significantly larger budgets and IT spend. This positive feedback loop accelerated the growth of the organization by leveraging larger reference customers and delivering complex technology solutions to a broad and growing universe of sophisticated customers.

Together with management, Fortuna Capital transformed Venture Technologies into a national IT solutions and managed services provider and Top 20 Cisco Gold Partner with three wholly-owned data centers generating revenues in excess of $200 million, while achieving approximately 10x growth since the platform’s inception. Fortuna Capital and Venture Technologies’ management successfully maximized shareholder value through the sale of a majority of its business to ConvergeOne in 2019 and the remainder to ennVee TechnoGroup at the end of 2021.
